Do things you wouldn't normally do but for the story. Think sorta like Jim Carey's "Yes Man". I'll second the Meetup.com suggestion above, it works in my area. And also, when you start doing things just for the story when you finally find a good girl, you'll have plenty to talk about! I'm not much for christianity but I don't believe it's a sin in any way to try rock climbing...or snow boarding...or surfing...or sky diving. I've only done the first two but those also make fun first dates if you're into the active types....Life is good.
