You guys definitely WOWed me with this wonderful love story that we created together! It really reflected and personified each person’s perspective into reality.
I’ve pieced it all together so you can read it below. Because the story is so good, I’d like to animate this story or turn this into a short film! So this week’s game is to:
1. Give this lovely story a TITLE. Leave your title suggestion below.
2. Vote: Would you like to have this story ANIMATED? or into SHORT FILM!

She’s cute. You’ve been having 30 sec conversations with her every other day at her work. That’s because she works at your local store, gym, deli, coffee shop, etc. And you want to ask her out without making it awkward since she’s working.
Here’s my recent conversation with a friend on how to do this cleverly:
My friend: so, cute girl @ sandwich shop. slightly flirtatious. she knows me by name now. not sure how to ask her out – i feel awkward doing so when there’s a line of ppl behind me and she is surrounded by coworkers. do you have any suggestions on the best way to proceed here?
Vanae: ah. do something clever
My friend: i’ve never asked someone out on the job before
Vanae: like if she’s asking you ‘how you’re doing..or how you’ve been? tell her, ‘secretly planning to take over the world’. SMILE. slip her a piece of paper that says ‘would love to tell you my secret plan over dinner’ include your phone number. something like that.
My friend: very nice
Vanae: it’s clever. cute and flattering. less intrusive
My friend: yeah, i had a feeling it would involve something written down. very clever, i like it
We like notes slipped to us, because it’s flattering and mysterious. Reminds us of grade school. Also, shows how smooth you are.
Vanae’s funny video of the dae:
My friend, P, is so funny and awesome. He shared with me how he asked a female out for a coffee date. Learn guys! Creativity can get you pretty far:
To Whom it May Concern,
I am very interested in the position of conversational partner at a
table in a coffee shop with Ms.______. Please find attached my
curriculum vitae. I feel that I am very qualified both as a consumer of
coffee and a purveyor of interesting conversation. I have extensive
experience with coffee, including many years of daily interaction, and have
consistently taken on increasingly significant responsibilities. In recent
positions, I’ve been responsible for all aspects of coffee production and
consumption, including purchasing, grinding, brewing, pouring, smelling,
transitioning to the mouth, tasting, and, recently, swallowing. My skills
in conversation are similarly advanced, and I have consistently shown
initiative during lulls. I have experience with conversing about a wide
variety of topics, specializing in food, alcohols, the arts, and outdoor
activities.
I trust that you will find my references and experience impeccable, and
look forward to hearing from you.
Sincerely,
P
(he attached his resume, which was icing on the cake)
