Game Dae Wednesdae: Favorite Movie

A v’star asked a fun question on my FB page about my favorite movie and since people have been sharing theirs as well, I thought it’d be a fun Game Dae Wednesdae.

What is your favorite movie of all time and why? Pick one…so it has to be your ultimate favorite.

Mine is Moulin Rouge! It’s a brilliant musical that has a devastating love story within a love story- reviving old and new songs into a musical. Watch it!

with classics like The Shawshank Redemption, The Shining, One Flow Over The Cockoo’s Nest and more recent hits like Slumdog Millionaire, The departed and The Dark Night or even the animated films such as Toy Story, Finding Nemo and spirited away and don’t forget the great foreign films like China’s Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon, Korea’s A Tale Of Two Sisters,Thailand’s Chocolate, Spain’s pan’s labyrinth and the horror and anime of Japan such as Jo-On 2 and Street Fighter 2, it is easy to see why this is such a hard question but for me I will have to go with The big Lebowski, a surreal comedy starring Jeff Bridges and John Goodman about “The Dude” who gets mistaken for some old rich guy because they share the same name.I chose this as my favorite film because it really perks me up if I am felling a little down and that seems as good a reason as any.

Sorry to ramble on, it is just that movies are a passion of mine and I have never been able to give a straight answer to this question

It’s difficult for me to choose only one favorite, but I’m gonna say “Mr. Nobody” on a whim. It’s a fantasy, psychological, romantic, sci-fi film, and aside for being a great movie, it would also make a good chick-flick.

I like Citizen Kane. With the exception of his War of the Worlds radio broadcast. It is Orson Welles best work. That one word gets you hooked from the beginning. “Rosebud” If I had a time machine I’d go back to listen to his War of the Worlds broadcast live and witness the choas first hand.

My favorite movie of all time is Patch Adams starring Robin Williams. I like it because it shows a perfect example of how powerful happiness and laughter can affect people’s lives which can go a long way. It has an indirect message to live in well-being (which kind of reminds me of this site, to live better and be better in every way)

Titanic, of course. Got both DVD releases, the HD release, & both soundtracks. It was worth giving up marriage to be interested in heroine warrior movies.
