Vanae, I like your comment about respecting yourself and also hanging up the phone. Also about moving on with your life.
Long distance relationships are difficult at the best of times and sometimes suit both parties so they can continue being ambivalent – ‘sort of’ being in a relationship without the commitment.
However over the last ten years or so especially with quite a few South East Asian friends, the long distance relationship has lead to some happy marriages.
This time gave the man the time to sort out his own life while getting to know the girl on deeper levels than just physical attraction (which let’s face it can get very intense and even in the way of getting to know each other well, as friends first). Sometimes either the man or the woman really do have lots going on in their lives and they are interested, but the timing is not right.
So Vanae good advice to keep moving on and not put your life on hold. If the guy seems genuine, I would also give him a bit of time and just keep it casual, if he contacts you, great just be friendly. If he doesn’t, no stress.
Like Vanae says if he is interested, he will call back.
