Game Dae Wednesdae- Home for the Holidays

In spirit of Thanksgiving and the winter holidays creeping up around the corner, my new episode is on ‘when to bring your bf/gf home to introduce to your family’. So this week’s game, is story telling time!

Share a time when you brought someone home. Who was it? and how did it go?

I’ll share mine:
A few years ago, my ex, BT, met my mum for the first time during the holidays. By this time, my mum had heard a lot about him. He was a great boyfriend. Truly understanding, caring and awesome. Though my mum spoke limited English, she had a good connection with BT because she could tell he had a kind heart and really cared for me. Plus, we had good food. None of that turkey stuff. Straight up vietnamese food! My mum still loves him til this day.

V’stars, share your memory of when you introduce a bf/gf to your family. How did it go?

Happy Thanksgiving!

    Vanae Sweetie,

Can I tell you after I have introduced you to my parents? I’m sure if you accept the offer I will feel like “I’m On Top Of The World” like this http://tinyurl.com/mqwu2v

I LOVE VANAE!!!!! especially in a Santa hat…

  7. it was very awkward, very brief, it didn’t really click to them who she was…

and they made her cry, eventually

    never again

oh wow, doesn’t sound like a very positive experience.
did your parents know about her beforehand?

      • yes, they were aware i was seeing her, they just never took it as a serious thing, and they knew she was comming. and they just weren’t very pleasent especially my parents…

you know you caan’t someones idea os CERTAIN PEOPLE if its been drilled into there head in upbringing

        if you catch my hint!

it was one of those moments like when people contradict themselves

“why are you home go do something”

“your never home, you need to not be out in the streets so often”

i’ve never met any of your girlfriends, you need a girlfriend”

“i don’t like her, shes just _____ and you should talk to people like that”

really stupid ignorant things, it was pretty messed uo and i was completely against her meeting my folks because i know better, but she was very kind hearted so i agreed to it…

now, her parents didn’t like me enough, but at leaste infront of her they were very nice because they knew it made her happy!

but yeah! probably one of the most aweful things they have ever done, i didn’t talk to mmy parents for like 3 months
