Game Dae Wednesdae: Pet Peeves

Cute & Flustered

You know when you’re on a date and the other person talks about themselves for 15 min straight (and you’re rolling your eyes 360 degrees and they still don’t get the hint).

Or when that person is being indecisive and keeps repeatedly asking for your suggestion (time, location, etc). BE ASSERTIVE AND JUST PICK, ALREADY!

Those, my dear, are just a couple of my pet peeves in dating. So, Game Dae Wednesdae:

V’stars, what are your pet peeves on a date or while dating? DISH ‘EM ALL OUT!

Fussy eaters (if on a dinner date), like not eating this, or that, or not trying new stuff…
Doubt women find this a problem, but when you are a guy and wants to ask a fussy eater out for dinner, it can become a problem.
    IE:
guy: I am picking you at 8 pm and we are going to have dinner at an Italian restaurant.
girl: I don’t like Italian, too much carbs.
    guy: ah okay, Thai?
girl: I don’t like thai either, too much coconut.
    guy: how about indian?
girl: no no, too much curry.
guy: how about we go eat lettuce and drink water?

i know how frustrating it can get, if there’s a back and forth. the person should suggest something specific instead of turning down.

i love food. and it sucks for people who are such picky eaters.

      gobble.
      gobble.

  2. V says:

    1. Not being on time.
    2. Bad table manners like chewing with the mouth open and not using a napkin often during the meal.

I don’t have a lot of experience dating so my list is pretty short. Although this one time I went on a lunch date and the guy would stare at his food quite intensely while breathing heavily, Darth Vader style. That was very annoying, and creepy.

  3. Camellia says:

Well I’m pretty easy going so there isn’t much that really much that bothers me, but here’s a few
#1) mr touchy-feely guy… the dude who has no concept of personal space and can’t keep his hands to himself ( i absolutly hate that one )
    2. yes the talking too much is annoying. I don’t mind a great conversation, I just think it would be nice if you would shut up every once in awhile :)
    3. Telling jokes that aren’t funny. I don’t mind having a good laugh but when you’re the only one laughing it’s time to stop
    4. certain people whose name I probably shouldn’t mention LOL :)

    • vanae says:

haha i love the personal space one.
esp when i’m dancing to hip hop music and the guy behind me, feels compelled to grab my hips from the back.

i have no problem, stopping him in his tracks or slapping his hands

but the jokes one. it can go either way…so corny and lame, that it’s cute

OR so lame, that it’s real lame.

  4. Cesar says:

By nature I’m quite a fussy person, but I always overlook someones personality flaws whilst we get to know each other.

But, their are certain attributes that I can’t overlook…

1 People who continually talk about their ex-partners

2 People who have photos of their ex-partners in their place of dwelling

3 People who seem to pry around your house with a fine tooth comb trying to find evidence of “You Know What”. A sign of insecurity!

4 And my #1 attribute that I cannot tolerate, is people who scrape their teeth with their finger after a meal and swallow the left-overs like their “Dessert”

    Hasta La Vista Baby!!!

    Insincerity

    Inconsiderate manners

  6. Grandma says:

If a woman is mean and tactless while at a restaurant, it’s a really bad sign. It’s really ugly seeing women treat those “under them” in bad taste. If she treats servers like that, how is she going to treat our especially ugly children? :P

Overly heavy make up. What in the world are you trying to hide? I’m more interested in how you look waking up than how much make up you can buy.

If she lives with her parents. Arghhh…they’re going to hate me after hearing all the odd noises coming from her room, “Bingo! Woohoo!”

    • vanae says:

      wad up, grandma.
yeah, the heavy makeup..i can see how that’s a turn off.
ha. i like the ‘giving bad service to servers’ pet peeve. it’s mine as well!

PS- what’s up with the ‘grandma’ identity? you should identify as your real self

  7. Wissam says:

    oo nice new theme!

  8. Locus says:

    Really…

    Ladies….
    EAT SOMETHING!!!

My biggest pet peeve is a girl not eating something other then a salad and maybe some bread…

Pffff, cause ya know when we go back to my place or a party she’s going to get some drinks in her… WHICH is WAY unhealthier for her body then some meet.!.

    just a thought.

  9. Victor says:

I’ve been out of the game for a little while (and loving the single life cheesy as it sounds, working on myself has been a great experience). But from memory, the one thing I hated is when a woman doesn’t say what she means. I’ve since learned that it’s an actual personality type, I just notice it more in women…But don’t be afraid to express you true feelings about something…the worst that will happen is that I’ll disagree!!!! Not a biggee!!!! And anyway the point is to get to know you, not to pretend to be someone completely different.

And to women, on behalf of my entire gender…I am so SORRY! I went out with a buddy of mine who isn’t so good with women and got to see first hand what attractive women have to deal with 24/7. I’m sorry! He spent 15 minutes trying to bug a MARRIED!! waitress. She was OBVIOUSLY not interested and BUSY, but damnit all he soldiered on! I’m so sorry ladies. I really am! By the end of the night, I was ticked off for all the women. They seemed to be used to it…So..odd as it sounds, that kind of lame guy who just doesn’t get it is a pet peeve of mine. Thankfully one I don’t have to deal with unwillingly.

Btw, Vanae, I’m totally digging this new layout. Good choice. Not sure about the flowers up in the right corner though…they seem out of place. I like the flowers, but they break the strong alignments you had going…Unless it’s intentional?? In any case, it’s not going to drive me away. OH!, nvmd. My monitor is too big! Lol!

  11. E.Solari says:

    1. Women that take (long) phone calls or text during a date.
    2. Women that change/cancel plans constantly.
    3. Women that don’t return your phone calls.
    4. Girls with heavy makeup; and specially those colored contact lenses… come on, be yourself.
    5. Bad manners.

    Neeext!

I’ve posted a link with a pet peeves list on your fb wall, check it out Vanae.
    Bye.

  12. Keith says:
