Game Dae Wednesdae: Celebrating Love

In celebration of Valentine’s Week, this week’s Game Dae Wednesdae is answering:
Do you celebrate Valentines? If so, what is the most memorable Valentines for you? Could be a person you spent it with, a gift, romantic planning…you get the drift.

For me, I totally celebrate Valentines! I especially celebrate it with my girlfriends every year doing a Anti-Dick Valentines- meaning a girls night out without men and celebrating great love & friendship. It’s always a blast!

Vanae’s Tip of the Dae: Don’t be bitter about Valentine Day! It’s a day to celebrate love, love with your loved ones. So don’t forget your showing your appreciation for your mom, sister, close friends or any loved ones.

ah yes, a couple of months ago, i wrote about truly been in LOVE. you’ll get there.
      you’ll feel it.
and you’ll realize that it was worth not rushing.

My “single” friends and I always throw an anti-valentine party (last year called Die, Cupid die fest), with lots of drinks and “hate songs”. However these parties always end up being crashed by our non-single friends, so yeah….there is no escaping the dictator Cupid.

This year, I’ll probably send lots of cards to co-workers, friends, family, and maybe in the evening go to dinner with some friends.

ps Matt: Consider yourself lucky to celebrate with family, mine lives 3000 miles away lol

I come from the school of thought that if you’re in a relationship, you shouldn’t wait until Valentines Day to celebrate love with that someone special. The love you two share is to be celebrated all the time! Holding out until February 14 and buying the clichéd gifts makes you predictable at best.

For this Valentines, a close friend of the family and my aunt share the same birthday (Feb. 12) and they are planning a big party for Sunday with dozens of people expected to partake. Being single, I can’t think of a better way to spend my Valentines day. Looking forward to having a blast.

Best wishes to you all and make your Valentines a fun day….errr dae :-)

Umm….some clarity is needed. Its not my birthday, it’s my aunts’ (mine is in August).

Thank you for the kind wishes nonetheless :-)
