I loved your worst date stories and now I want to know your BEST date story!
Recently, I had a pretty fantastic date. It’s one of those great hangouts with fun conversation, compatibility, and playful flirtyness. You know, when you vibe with someone really, really well and you end up laughing a lot. Dunno if it takes the award for best date I’ve ever had, but it was pretty high up there.
One of the key things you’ll notice about good dates is that you feel very comfortable with that person.
So your turn! Tell me about your best date! What did you do and what made it the best? 3 lucky v’stars will win a lil surprise from me!
I had a really nice date where we just went to stores and mingled about for beer. (It’s Wisconsin.) Then we took it to a small local beach and had a beer tasting on the boat docks. Then left only to get swimming trunks to jump in and play around. It was great.
I also went to a Ho Down. That was the shit. Everyone was dancing to a five man string band and having a blast. I’ll never forget that one.
mmmmm….
that sounds like awesome fun.
i’ve never been to a ho-down!

Not really a date, but one of the sweetest things a girl has ever done for me happened on the first V-day we were together. She was an RA at the dorms I was living in (older women, I know) and the night before was asking an unusual amount of questions about where I was going to be and when…I thought nothing of it. So, I went off to class the next day. Came back to find my room FULLY DECKED OUT in hearts, streamers, and a giant stuffed frog on my bed holding a heart that said something cute. There was also a bowl of really awesome candy. I figured that was it, but I went about my day (after thanking her) and ended up dropping by work. There I found a bunch of balloons tied to another small stuffed bear with some candy and a card. I had to carry it with me to class but I didn’t mind. Then to top it all off, she ordered an “edible arrangement” (chocolate dipped fruits arranged to make a bouquet of ‘flowers’) that was supposed to be delivered but something went wrong with the order and we ended up having to pick it up.
That night she cooked dinner and we had an amazingly romantic evening…That has yet to be topped by any female in my life. Wow, I just read over it and I sound like a girl ^_^. Honestly, though I tend to be girlier than the women I date so I guess it’s fitting, lol! I eventually got her back about 6 or 7 months later. She kept talking about this necklace and matching earrings in the mall. I had to wait cuz I didn’t have the cash but about 3 weeks later I went out secretly and bought them. She called in the middle of my ninja-mission and she instantly knew something was up but still had no idea what. I let a couple days pass before I put them in a box and hid them in her car’s cup holder. I left a cute note on it to attract some attention. Then I waited…and waited.
I ended up asking if she found it? She hadn’t! She found the note but didn’t notice the box cuz it was dark. She thought I was talking about the note. Right in front of me she found the box and literally shed tears of joy (no one had ever bought her jewelry before…not even her ex-husband!) I still don’t think I quite matched up to her V-day but she said I did..lol…How do you top that?!??!
aww, that was romantic. no wonder why it was so so memorable for you.
i find that people tend to be more romantic when we’re younger (college & high school years) living the idealistic romance.
i remember with my first bf, we’d used to give each other cards for every occasion and had lil romantic get-a-ways. now that we’re good friends, him and i reminisced about that the other dae, as he kept a shoebox of all the stuff i gave him. it was really cute to go over the stuff.
maybe i’ll write about it one dae.

One of my best dates is the one I haven’t taken you on yet!
you mean the piggyback ride didn’t count?
ahahaha
My best date was a first date with a guy I’d been crushin’ on for a while. He picked me up and took me to a really nice dinner. I remember at dinner he offered me some of his food before he even tried it and put it on my bread plate. I thought that was super sweet and thoughtful and it showed he could be generous. We had a lot of fun talking at dinner and I felt really comfortable. Then we went to the movies and he was a complete gentleman. After the movies as he was driving me home and we were stopped at a stoplight and he pulls this gift from the back seat. It was a cute perfume set he’d bought at the mall earlier that day that he said reminded him of me. Little did he k ow it reminded him b/c it was the perfume I wore all the time.
. When he dropped me off at my house he asked if he could take me out again. It was absolutely perfect! We went out for 5 years after that.
aww that’s cute.
happy that story turned into a long term relationship
thanks for sharing, v’star jess!
well, my date(sort of) was on last valentine’s day. i Was gonna have dinner or something else with my female friends, then one of them tells me the girl i’ve liked since forever is coming over too. So i get ready and come to her friends place and pick up another chick, when we come back to the house, the girl i like is already there. Of course im all oh what do i say mood, but she noded and said hey, i say hey how you doing.
Then all of us head to a chinesse restaurant, we took pictures and overall chat of what was going on with her life we had not seen each other for winter break, so she was doing ok..didint do too well on her classes, so i try to cheer her up and continue talking.
Unfourtanly, im a big noob when it comes to dating, so i could have made my move and tell her ok, what kind of person i’am to you?. I didint get to say those words and it was late, so she and her friend had to leave.i only told her alright i see you next week.
