Do you have a small tent to donate?

UPDATE: Thank you for all the generous offers! People have been offering to donate their tents (5 people!), other individuals offered to buy a tent and ship it here and many wanted to donate money! I am greatly humbled and thrilled that people are getting together to make a difference in another human’s life!

So I’m currently assessing which donated tent will suit Kathy most and will let you know if we’ll collect money donations, in the case those tents don’t work out.

A few months ago, I had a nice lunch with a homeless who goes by the name of Red Bull. You can read my experience here. Sometimes, all it takes is your company, a conversation and a lending ear or helping hand.

Once again, thank you. Life is beautiful and so are you for making a difference!

Love,
Vanae

Looking for a small tent for a SF Bay area homeless lady, Kathy. Please forward this video around to people in the SF Bay Area. I am willing to come and pick up the tent.

Thanks so much!

Thanks to my friend, Chris Pirillo, who showed me http://invisiblepeople.tv/ when he heard about Kathy. It’s a great website that shares the human stories behind the people living in the streets.

A couple of weeks ago, I would have had one to give :( . I gave half my lunch to a homeless person on Monday; I felt like a bit of an enabler but decided to talk to her and figure out her story. Drugs and mental health problems. I wanted to help more but did not know what to do. She needed help: not food. I would have loved to refer her to some programs, but all I could do was offer her my sandwich while I ate my chips.

    Hope you find a tent.

It’s quite disheartening when you see homeless people, and I always tend to wonder how they actually ended-up in this situation.

After viewing the “My Story” video, it truly shows how a positive mind-set can make a big difference in your life no matter how dire your situation is. “There is always hope at the End of the Tunnel.”

This is another Great Video to give you a positive Mind-Set on a daily basis by applying its principles. http://tinyurl.com/cjd7td

I don’t want to comment too much on evangelism.

Carissa’s story suggests she got mixxed up in what is called “crip-ing”.
