Asking her out…creatively

My friend, P, is so funny and awesome. He shared with me how he asked a female out for a coffee date. Learn guys! Creativity can get you pretty far:

To Whom it May Concern,
I am very interested in the position of conversational partner at a
table in a coffee shop with Ms.______. Please find attached my
curriculum vitae. I feel that I am very qualified both as a consumer of
coffee and a purveyor of interesting conversation. I have extensive
experience with coffee, including many years of daily interaction, and have
consistently taken on increasingly significant responsibilities. In recent
positions, I’ve been responsible for all aspects of coffee production and
consumption, including purchasing, grinding, brewing, pouring, smelling,
transitioning to the mouth, tasting, and, recently, swallowing. My skills
in conversation are similarly advanced, and I have consistently shown
initiative during lulls. I have experience with conversing about a wide
variety of topics, specializing in food, alcohols, the arts, and outdoor
activities.
I trust that you will find my references and experience impeccable, and
look forward to hearing from you.

Sincerely,
P

(he attached his resume, which was icing on the cake)

What is a creative way that you asked or have been asked out?

There was this girl (absolutely gorgeous) that I used to work with and we would talk a lot. One day (I’m not quite sure how this came about), she told me that she loved the song “Snow” by Red Hot Chili Peppers. In that same conversation she told me her favorite thing in the world was dried mango. She went on to say that if a person were to eat dried mango and listen to that song at the same time they would consequently disappear. Not long after, she left to stay with her mom for a few months in Cali. While she was there I sent her a package containing dried mango, a copy of the song burned on a CD, and a note saying “Don’t disappear because you are going to go out on a date with me when you get back, and I think I might miss you if you vanished into thin air”. Needless to say, she was shocked that I listened, the fact that I remembered what she had said was truly remarkable to her. It’s amazing what knowing little things like her favorite dilly bar is butterscotch can do for you.

Miss those days when you could just yell, “me tarzan you jane, let’s go”.. good ole days, very creative too I must add.

God, that is creative! Unfortunately, I have no story to tell here as my shyness has always been a wall that I could never climb.

Although handing a lady a curriculum vitae might be just what the Doctor ordered :)

Alright so currently I work in a bank but I have a customer that caught my eye. I really haven’t spoken to her but I was thinking of handing her an envelope with a letter inside from me asking her out. Let me know how I could improve on it, or maybe just some better ideas. Thanks. -Paul

This is just a short letter that I came up with to let you know that you captured my attention. Ordinarily I wouldn’t write you to tell you that I was interested, but because of my work environment, I have to maintain a certain level of professionalism. Originally I noticed you because of how beautiful I found you to be, but to be honest I’m more interested in getting to know who you are. I have a spot that I would like to invite you to, so if you’re not seeing anyone we should get together. Let me know what you think.
