(i found this poem that i wrote on september 30, 2002 and still rings true on how i feel about the war)

ten fingers that grasp me

stingers of power and corruption

thought i had my wisdom, my brain

but its all sold, not sustained

one system, disguised…

praised, but at our demise.

no compromise, its all

synthesized in these two eyes.

ain’t no war without greed

we just can’t succeed in this mentality.

no winners…we’re all pitted

fatalities, casualties of the timid.

shouting: “man, sadam did it!”?

deep down y’all, who brought the brawl?

no one can explain, but everyone can blame.

can’t be justice, if we don’t focus

on the conscious mind of righteousness.
